Second time here, just as lovely, weather could have been better, never mind trying again next year.

First time at Woodpecker, first time carp fishing for Harry (must be why he had the 2 big cats!).

We had a great time and Doug looked after us really well and gave us some good tips.

Liked it so much we have booked for next year already!

An excellent weeks fishing, especially given the amount of rain!

Unlucky with the weather but lucky with the fishing.

3 of us got 2 personal best's each, had a great time.

7th June 2008 Cheshire Ratcatchers

Only 2 nights fished. 1 half day and the rest were 12 hour sessions.

Fish spawning and cleaning off towards the end of the week made the last couple of days hard going.

Great week spent in good company.

Another superb visit, weather was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the company of Doug, Sue and Family.

Fishing was hard as carp continued to spawn. Yet we still managed some cracking fish and

a personal best cat each. Looking forward to our next visit.

I didn't think it could get any better after last year but I was wrong.

It was a surprise to only catch one fish in daylight and high pressure kept the fish down during the day.

Doug and Sue are to be congratulated in providing a superb location to both fish and relax, truly caring hosts.

Had a lovely time. Many thanks to Doug and Sue. We've caught some top fish and

enjoyed seeing the diamond sturgeon 3 times. 56lb cat for Tommy, what a monster!!

23rd August 2008 Simply Pellets Field Testers Ron, Kath, Steve, Mouse and Eric

Total catch for 2 weeks 3685lb 11oz, new lake record mirror carp 39lb 13oz.

Fishing became hard as atmospheric pressure fell by 35 mbars in 10 hours.

What can I say does life get any better than this? Family, Friends and Fish!

I am delighted to catch the first '40' from Woodpecker, but all of my respect goes to Doug and Sue

who have worked so hard to achieve this stunning fishery. Huge thanks to you both!
