New Catfish Captures
The lake contains a good head of Common, Mirror and Leather Carp to over 48lbs, Catfish over 92lbs and Grass Carp over 30lbs.
The lake and superb Gite accommodation is exclusively for your use only, only your group so you will not have to compete or share with other angler's on the lake or anyone else on the grounds, we allow a maximum of 6 people with a maximum of 3 fishing with 3 rods each.
We live on site so are available to give you any help or advice you may need while you are here for your Carp and Catfish fishing holiday. This may be on the fishing side or to help you explore the surrounding area with its host of attractions, fine restaurants and the beautiful countryside of the Dordogne.
All of our catches are recorded by our customers and friends in our log book so everyone can see what is being caught day by day and week by week, written by them not us.
No lies regards stocking (as we have seen so many times in the past), what we say is in the lake is there, this is backed up by our log books from day one. No half measures with accommodation, everything you should need is in there, the most beautiful of settings, and one of the most tranquil two and a half acre Carp and Catfish fishing lakes in France. The lake is not massive but do you want to be miles away from the fish on an inland sea, or sitting shoulder to shoulder with other people? You can be on some venues and have no chance of catching or moving swims, surely a Carp and Catfish fishing holiday is about having the opportunity to catch fish and move around the lake not sitting there blanking watching others catch fish!!
Woodpecker Pool is ideal for your Carp and Catfish fishing holiday in the Dordogne, France and is a totally safe and secure location, fenced all around and gated so is ideally suited to families, their children and friends.
We have a good customer base of regular clients and friends but we always want to welcome new people, nearly all of our guests and friends have beaten their personal bests several times since coming here but however we cannot guarantee this will happen, so if you like being in beautiful surroundings, love nature and wildlife and enjoy catching superb hard fighting Carp into the high 40s (see carp gallery) and Catfish into the 90s or bigger(see catfish gallery) then this could be the venue for you for exclusive Carp and Catfish fishing in France, if however all you want to do is drink all day and get drunk then this is definately not the place for you.
